The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) is leading the development of a comprehensive database for the informal sector and micro industries (SIIM) to collect and manage data on informal sector individuals and businesses. 
The MySPC project is about Malaysia Social Protection Council (Majlis Perlindungan Sosial Malaysia), which aims to provide social protection for citizens through various measures to address economic, social, and environmental risks, ensuring their well-being throughout their lives. The social protection structure is organized around four main elements: protection, prevention, promotion, and transformation. The social protection in Malaysia is divided into three main tiers: Social Assistance, Social Insurance, and Labor Market Intervention. 
The backbone of effective governance. OpenDOSM is a platform that catalogs, analyzes, and visualizes Malaysia’s data, providing free access to various types of data. OpenDOSM NextGen, an upgrade of the platform, aims to support the government’s data infrastructure and contribute to data-driven innovation in service delivery.
